Info
"Half the stage we drove on it, nothing happened, just in the middle of the road. We didn't touch anything. We still got some points so there's a silver lining!"
"I worked really, really hard. Thank you to my team."
"It was feeling good, no tyre on the last lap, two mistakes on the corner and no grip, so we finished good. Thanks for the team, my family and my engineer and my co-driver. My car is perfect, big thanks to the Hungarian fans. It was amazing."
Puncture, front left
"I never pushed like this! What a crazy ride, it was about 2km before the finish the tyre was completely out, so we pushed and it went good. The Michelin tyres worked the entire weekend so I have to say thanks to them, and my team, my family, my girlfriend. It was an incredible weekend, lots of pushing with the car."
"Now was a proper heat I would say, before it was nothing big. 3-4km before the finish, we touched a stone inside the corner. We are here, but it was not our day. I hope that we managed to get some points fopr the championship but there were bigger possibilities for our weekend to fight for 2-3 places up. I appreciate we're at the finish though."

"Not too bad! Pretty good rally, to get top 10 is nice, I tried in there but we're a little bit low on how fresh our tyres are now. We learned a big nugget of knowledge, we'll take it now onto Asphalt and see how that goes, big thanks to M-Sport and our team, Motorsport Ireland Academy."
"I feel great, it was a very tough race. Big rocks to avoid every single corner! We kept it all in one piece, we have to thank MRF for the car. There is a lot of work behind the scenes, thank you to all the team helping us, MRF and our sponsors, thank you. If I can say hello and big hug to Sergio Il Baldo, thank you. It's been a great day."
"I'm never happy with my performance, even on Asphalt. But I am glad, thanks to the team for their good job and many thanks to Michelin for these reliable tyres. I hope there are more Gravel rallies this year because this was just fantastic. I will learn it and come back."
Puncture, front right
"I don't know what happened, for sure I risked quite a lot through the stones, there was no huge moment but it was probably a couple of small impacts. As far as I know I didn't hit anything."
"It is really satisfying, we were really looking forward to finishing the rally. It's the first rally of the season for us, we were so focussed on getting the finish. We have achieved all our goals and we're really happy."
"I'm pretty happy, I hope this speed was enough to keep the 2nd place in the Hungarian championship. To be honest, our rally was done yesterday, because of the road position, the tyres and everything else, but we tried till the end. Thank you so much to the team and everyone else."
"It's very special, especially on such a rough event. Played quite smart and used our brain, so great feeling. It's a good entry into the Championship, hopefully we can keep the momentum going, see where we end up."

What do you think of this Philip? Two Toyotas on the lead and he's getting a lot of power...Sesks is also driving it for the first time, but he's somewhere else...
Sabelt [13. 4. 12:18:08]
[translated from cs]
Gravel is not good for him and on asphalt the toyota will lose so probably a bad season
hoffmann59 [13. 4. 12:20:47]

Well in Italy the old Basso doesn't drive badly at all:) and in Spain some Spaniard didn't drive it badly at all either, so I don't think it should be that bad, it's still a new car for everyone and the biggest change is the engine running, everyone else knows the cars already so to speak
hoffmann59 [13. 4. 12:19:16]
[translated from cs]
He's learning with the Toyota , I'd give him time, Sesks is doing his first race but he's tested a little bit, Filip hasn't tested much so it takes time, he said the car handles well but he said the biggest difference where he has to learn with the car is the engine flow it's completely different and he's never driven a 3 cylinder , so we'll see, maybe Šumava will give him a bit of a clue but I'd give him time, he's learning , still Sesks is a soto driver and I'm surprised by Sesks

A bit off-topic, but when I see the Polish Orlen on Marczyk's car (as well as on Prokop's on Dakar), or the Hungarian MOL on Kopecký's and Střítezský's cars at home, I find it quite sad how our EuroOil presents itself. I'm not saying it's downright wrong that they sponsor Pech, but I'd rather see them support drivers trying to present themselves on the international stage, or at least some young talent. Instead, competing Hungarian and Polish state-owned companies are advertising here.

Well, are there any EuroOil stations out there? I understand Orlen and MOL, because they operate on the Czech market, but I am not sure about Čepro. And if you don't operate outside, what is the marketing value for you to sponsor an international program?

I agree with what you write
mrkenny [13. 4. 12:34:54]

You're probably right about that, but they also sponsor the national hockey team, their logo is right on the helmet, so it's the most visible place. The overall problem is going to be more in the functioning of the institution. Čepro should definitely take inspiration from Poland and Hungary. They've made some investments there now, so maybe they'll expand.

Guys Eurooil was bought by Čepro, so it's a Czech company, and I think Pech will have to find a new sponsor. Because I don't think Čepro will want to support the rally.

Recently, I think during Sweden, someone wrote something like that Europe will be boring this year. Watching it from my couch, it's quite a ride...that there would be two Toyotas in the lead in the middle of Hungary (albeit with Paddon within striking distance) is probably something few would have guessed. Tomorrow is going to be interesting.
mrkenny [13. 4. 17:36:10]
[translated from cs]
Yeah:D On the contrary, I think there will be a big fight for the title this year. Of course we have Paddon, but Sesks and Heikkila will probably rule the gravel, and the Italians and French could be on the tarmac. And of course I wouldn't forget Ostberg and others. I think it's going to be really interesting.
