Organizátoři Rally Mexico se rozhodli zrušit RZ 18.
Stalo se tak na základě bezpečnostních opatření, neboť se na RZ sešlo enormní množství diváků. Je to poprvé, kdy se pořadatelé Rally Mexico museli uchýlit ke zrušení RZ z tohoto důvodu.
Se svými 22.30 kilometry byla RZ 18 Guanajuatito nejdelší zkouškou závěrečného dne. Zrušení znamená, že posádky zamíří rovnou na RZ 19, poslední zkoušku, která se koná mimo okruh superspeciálky./
The organisers of Rally Mexico have cancelled special stage 18.
The decision was made on safety grounds because of the huge number of spectators. It is the first time spectator numbers have forced a stage cancellation on Rally Mexico.
At 22.30 kilometres the SS18 Guanajuatito test was the longest of the final day. The cancellation means crews will drive directly to SS19, and the last countryside stage of the rally.
