"It's been bad all morning, but we didn't need this."
"I will continue to do my job. I don't know. It's a big surprise for me this morning after just one stage, but we will see. I think it's just an error, I'm not sure if it was the organisers or the team. It's a shame."
"It was okay. We tried to drive with an okay pace and we knew [Lefebvre] had a time penalty, so we didn't take any risks."

"It's working okay. This stage is so different to the rest and it's a bit of a surprise how bumpy it is. There was a section in the middle where I was maybe a bit too careful where it was narrow, but otherwise it's all okay."
