Marcus Gronholm: "Asi 3 km po startu RZ1 jsem v pravém vracáku udělal hodiny a ztratil asi 25 vteřin. V rozpisu jsem to měl značeno jako velmi kluzké, ale ve skutečnosti to bylo velmi velmi velmi kluzké. Auto zůstalo stát čelem tam, odkud jsme přijeli, a zhasl motor. Musel jsem mnohokrát popojíždět, než jsme se otočil. Focus jede výborně, ale volba pneumatik je obtížná - možná jsme mohli použít ty s hřeby. Moje pneumatiky byly vhodné pro RZ3, ale ta se bohužel zrušila."
Mikko Hirvonen: Jel také slicky = špatná volba. "Mezi průjezdy špiónů a naším startem se podmínky zcela změnily. Z ledu se stala břečka a já nikdy netušil, co mě čeká za další zatáčkou. Nejel jsem naplno, protože jsem nevěřil rozpisu a nechtěl jsem udělat chybu. Auto je dobré, jen přitvrdíme podvozek."
