In SS7, between Ray-Pic cascades and the small village of Péreyres, the Renault 5 GT Turbo driven by Jean-Claude Bertaudiére spun out of a corner and fell into a 200 meter deep ravine. His co-driver, Francis Mallaussène, did not survive the accident.
