Other info
Terra Alta, 35.68km. Terra Alta is the longest and toughest stage of the rally. It starts in Vilalba del Arcs, heading away through a well-known zig-zag which offers great views of the village and its bell tower in the background. It is mostly gravel but drivers face five surface changes, including an incredibly twisty and undulating 6km asphalt section in the middle and a tight asphalt hairpin on tyres well-used by the gravel roads before the finish.

"A terrible morning. After only one kilometre we hit a small rock on the line and we broke the brakes. It's finished for us."

"The car is working well. Maybe sliding too much at the rear. We lost some time here in Maurin's dust - he stopped to change a puncture."
"I'm really enjoying it. I'm feeling no pressure and the times are quite quick. Perfect."
"Very, very bad, we have something wrong with the set-up. It's almost undriveable."
His soft-compound front tyres are badly worn but he's leading the category and is satisfied they were the right choice.
His car's rear-left tyre is soft, and there's another flat in the car. So two flats in the stage. "The first one happened when I went into a right-hand corner too fast corner with massive over steer. I hit a bank and we stopped to change the wheel. The next one I have no idea. It always seems like this. Okay, I'm happy because I won a stage on gravel but we cannot seem to get it all right."
"I think I have a problem with the rear diff. I think I lose a lot of time."
"Horrible. I had trouble getting off line early in the stage. Then rough like crazy - lots of impacts on the car. And low grip, lots of wheel spin."
"We overheated the brakes on the tarmac and the surface was extremely dirty. Lots of gravel, and big stones too, it was easy to break the suspension and it will be worse on the repeat."
"I'm quite surprised because it's been a long time since I have been here. I pushed hard but the tarmac section was extremely dirty."
"I've always struggled with this one, this time has been the cleanest yet but after the Tarmac section my tyres went off. And then you see the pace of the Volkswagens. They seem to look after their tyres better."
"A better rhythm for me. I'm sorry for my team-mate - he has been on fire this morning."

"I did absolutely nothing," he says. "I had a good run but suddenly I started to feel a slow puncture. We drove 13km on the puncture."
"I lost the brakes for many kilometres. They came back later but I couldn't trust them. We'll go and bleed them now."
"Towards the end it started to get quite difficult with the tyres but I think we managed it quite well. I drove completely differently this time to last year - the car set-up is changed and my approach to the corners is a lot more brave."
I struggled a lot with the grip - especially near the end. I thought at the end my tyres were gone but in fact they were okay."
