The stage was soft
#15
flag Lindholm Sebastian
- Hantunen T.
We are so good that we can win a stage without front anti-roll bar
SS18
#20
flag Nittel Uwe
- Thörner Christina
I'm scared because I drive much faster than my notes tell me to
#4
flag Sainz Carlos
- Moya Luis
We think we have kept a good pave but apparently others have pushed as well
#11
flag Kankkunen Juha
- Grist Nicky
There's nothing we can do for Mitsubishi and Tommi on the small roads. Tommi will catch us tonight.
SS17

flag Rovanperä Harri

Rolled
SS14
#16
flag Grönholm Marcus
- Rautiainen T.
The morning started bad, it wasn't smooth. On this stage I didn't listen to the notes carefully enough and didn't remember the corners well enough. We almost went off properly.
SS13

Heavy jump

flag Harkki Olli
- Mustalahti Kari
We suffered from the dust
#11
flag Kankkunen Juha
- Grist Nicky
The bit start number has been an advantage. The dust wasn't an issue until the two last stages. Recalde made so much dust in front of us that we didn't see anything. I drove twice into the ditch in the dust. If I had been younger I would have for sure driven flat out in the dust until the car would have rolled.
SS9
#26
flag Harkki Olli
- Mustalahti Kari
It's amazing how much beating a Group N car can take
#18
flag Rovanperä Harri
- Repo Juha
After Ouninpohja Sainz started to ask what settings we are using
#17
flag Kytölehto Jarmo
- Kapanen Arto
The stones were so big that it would have been easier to bang the car with a sledgehammer in service!
SS8
#18
flag Rovanperä Harri
- Repo Juha
We were flat out. On the small road a damper tank broke and in a houseyard the car almost got out of control
#12
flag Rådström Thomas
- Bäckman Lars
We started with too stiff front suspension. After it was softened handling improved. This must be the most difficult stage in the world.
#16
flag Grönholm Marcus
- Rautiainen T.
Heavy jump, co-driver couldn't speak, broken front dampers
SS6
#18
flag Rovanperä Harri
- Repo Juha
The tyres were so soft at the end that there was only 1 mm of tread left. With this experience it would be outrageous to start changing the setup. I would like to try anti-roll bar changes but maybe I'll just try harder tyres.
SS5
#26
flag Harkki Olli
- Mustalahti Kari
Engine overheating
SS4
#26
flag Harkki Olli
- Mustalahti Kari
Puncture
SS3
#15
flag Lindholm Sebastian
- Hantunen T.
Broken driveshaft
#17
flag Kytölehto Jarmo
- Kapanen Arto
I made a wrong tyre choice. I'm driving on the ATS tyres for the first time and it makes handling difficult. Maybe we should try Grönholm's way of carrying two spares and switch them on.
SS2
#28
flag Kangas Juha
- Laaksonen Jani
Puncture, steering arm broken
#4
flag Sainz Carlos
- Moya Luis
